Re: What have YOU used mF photos for?

I used a very cool hand-and-mouse image from [username]wax115[/username] for an article on Squidoo about Web hit statistics:

(Link routed through simurl as part of testing the very thing the article is about.)

I have searched for photos for various home redecorating projects, and I have found more here than I can possibly ever use. I haven’t weeded them down to what will actually be framed and used on the walls yet, but that is coming soon. I also want to use some for decoupage projects for the house. Most are nature landscapes (no buildings), seascapes, and the like, with old barns, farm animals and some flowers thrown in. I have downloaded photos from all of the following profiles:

    Anna Dickie (aka greenfinger)
    Andrea (aka kahle)
    Ard Hesselink (aka hesselink)
    Ashley (aka ropable)
    Bob Wragg (aka bobby)
    Carlos Paes (aka wax 115)
    Chris McCooey (aka iamagoo)
    Clara (aka clarita)
    Darren Hester (aka ppdigital)
    Dave Wicks (aka dave)
    DTCreations
    Eileen O’Dwyer (aka ariadnearts)
    Emily Roesly (aka mensatic)
    George Zimzores (aka georgezim)
    Gracey
    Ivan Melenchon (aka imelenchon)
    J Rodriguez (aka urbangrafix1)
    Jane Sawyer (aka cohdra)
    Jason Merlino (aka merlin73)
    Jenny Wragg (aka loopy)
    Keith Skinner (aka demon)
    Kenn Kiser (aka click)
    Kevin Connors (aka kconnors)
    Luis Tejo (aka luisrock62)
    Manuel Silva (aka mjas)
    Marianne Venegoni (aka bowlingranny)
    Mary Penn (aka kittenpuff)
    Mike Connors (aka mconnors)
    Mike Summerville (aka calgrin)
    Mirakel Mayoral (aka latinspaceangel)
    Nanette Bartet (aka nanette)
    P Dalgarno (aka pdalgarno)
    Rachel (aka rcurls)

    Sanjay Pindiyath (aka pindiyath100)
    Serenity (aka drowninsanity)
    Stuart Whitmore (aka jppi)
    Suzanne (aka osuzeq)
    Syiek
    Terence (aka tezelec)
    William Roesly (aka vilhelm)
    Xalluma
    Zach Carter (aka spike)
Whew! I have NO doubt that list will grow with time. Too many choices!!!! You guys are NOT making this easy for me!

Also, I have downloaded a select few photos for possible inclusion in book cover designs. I have notified a couple of the contributors of those photos but am holding off on notifying others until I know for certain which photos I will use.

Oh, before I forget, I also sometimes DL images to use as wallpaper on my computer.

That's a good idea, posting derivative works in your portfolio here so people can see how their photos were used. Often my uses involve video so that wouldn't work as well, but I will have to keep that in mind for non-video uses.

I used a ton in my class. It was great letting the students be able to search without me in a near panic :) about what they might "see."

Students used them to create movies in Photo Story 3. Here is the link to them.

Many many thanks to morguefile and all the photographers!

I used an awesome photo from nacu for my first experiment with the psuedotube.com site:

Thanks, Kevin! :)

This evening I used a typewriter photo from Michael for a page related to NaNoWriMo and Twitter:

And yes, I'm participating in NaNoWriMo again this year, writing a novel in a genre I haven't tried before. My NaNo-related blog has more details on that!
